Dodge for the Cure
Supporting Friends & Cancer Research through Sports
I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to be coming out of retirement to participate in Dodge for the Cure on March 21st, a dodgeball charity tournament supporting BC Cancer.
Sports have played a big role in my adult life. They’ve taught me resilience, teamwork, and the value of showing up for the people around you - lessons that extend far beyond the field, rink, or court. Being part of a team and working toward something bigger than yourself is something I’ve always valued.
As someone who works in the non-profit sector, it’s especially meaningful for me to take part in events like this. They bring communities together, raise critical funds, and support causes that impact so many people. Cancer is something that has touched the lives of many of us, including many of my close friends, which makes supporting BC Cancer through this event even more personal.
If you’re able to support or share, it would mean a lot. Every contribution helps fund vital research, treatment, and care for people across BC.
Now… time to work on my dodgeball skills
