From April 26 - May 1, I am participating in Rowing to Break Down Childhood Cancers. The rowing teams from Brentwood College, Shawnigan Lake and St. George’s are uniting to break down childhood cancers. Together, we will row and raise funds to find more cures for children facing the most aggressive and hard to treat cancers.
Your donation will be matched! Each school is committed to raising $50,000, and donations will be matched by individual donors supporting each school, dollar for dollar, to reach $100,000 raised per school! You are invited you to help change the story for children facing cancer.
BC Cancer is on the cusp of curing more children. Each year, 130 children in B.C. under the age of 17 are diagnosed with cancer.
Today, these children are treated with chemotherapy, surgery and/or radiation, each of which can be associated with significant side effects.
Join us in our quest to raise $100,000 per school to help BC Cancer break down childhood cancers. We’ll be racing against the clock, head to head, to reach this goal and log the most metres rowed.
With your help, BC Cancer can develop effective treatments with fewer side effects for the most aggressive childhood cancers. Now is the time for us to invest in tomorrow’s cures.
