PET/CT scanners are among the most powerful diagnostic tools used in cancer care today. They allow clinicians to see both the structure of the body and how cancer is behaving.

Access to PET/CT scanners remains limited in British Columbia, particularly south of the Fraser River. Scanners are currently only available in Vancouver, Kelowna and Victoria. As cancer diagnoses continue to rise, so does the need for faster, more accessible imaging.
