Zahra was born on November 15, 1971 and passed away on August 8, 2021. She is a mother, daughter, sister, wife and friend. Her strength, courage, compassion and kindness are an inspiration to all who knew her. Zahra put others before herself and had unwavering positivity throughout her treatment. She loved the simple things in life, like going on walks, gardening, weekend farmer’s markets, and creating memories with her family. To Zahra, the journey was more important than the destination.

As a Market Research Manager at BCAA for 25 years, she loved her work and especially her colleagues who became lifelong friends.

Zahra’s strength through her battle with cancer was positive and unwavering. Throughout her treatment, she continually researched information on the cancer she was fighting and was well informed on her condition and the medication she was receiving. What’s more, she shared her research and knowledge as an active advocate on several breast cancer groups.
