Workout to Conquer Cancer - 2022

Once again this May, Orchid Medical Clinic is participating inWorkout to Conquer Cancer to get moving and support BC Cancer patients! Not only is our team returning as theLife Savers, but we are also proud to announce thatOrchid Medical Clinic is the MOVEMENT SPONSOR of the event! We're very excited to be joining others across the province to move, no matter where we are, every single day of the month.

  • We understand how important it is to support cancer patients during these uncertain times.Fighting cancer is a demanding undertaking even under the best circumstances. However, during the global pandemic, this fight become that much more stressful and difficult. The threat of the outbreak has affectedBritish Columbians across the province, but cancer patients are at a higher risk for more serious outcomes of COVID-19. That is why it is imperative that we continue supporting our family and friends that are fighting cancer in the best ways we know how.
  • We know that a meaningful cause can keep us accountable to stay active when we are lacking motivation to keep our bodies moving. It can be difficult to keep the body active when our routines had been disrupted, our gyms hadbeen closed, and our sports teams hadbeen suspended. Now as everythingis re-opening and we are getting back to our normal routines, weask you to join and dedicate yourselfto Workout to Conquer Cancer to motivate ourselves to keep our bodies moving. With a committed team of caring individuals, Orchid Medical Clinic aspires to create a community that keeps us accountable and provide us inspiration to run, stretch, squat, walk, or dance every day!
  • Cancer has deeply affected us and our loved ones. One in two British Columbians are affected by cancer, that's why we've committed to move and raise funds for patients, survivors, and those we've lost. At Orchid Medical Clinic, our team has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for patients that are battling cancer and see the amount of courage it takes to face it head on. Our families and friends have been affected by cancer and it remains forever an important piece of our lives (see our personal bios for our stories). We want to show our patients and our loved ones that we are cheering for them.

This challenge is more than exercise, it's about a community that believes that we can make an impact, even from our homes. Whether we run, walk, stretch or squat, every move we make and dollar we raise will be in support of the 1 in 2 Canadians affected by cancer.

As we get ready to sweat our way through May for every patient who cannot, please show your support by making a donation to our team today.
