In Loving Memory

November 6, 1950 - November 18, 2013

"All day I think about it, then at night I say it. Where did I come from, and what am I supposed to be doing? I have no idea. My soul is from elsewhere. I'm sure of that, and I intend to end up there." RUMI

I have asked myself and reflected on this journey with cancer over the past months. The gift of life is precious. Cancer if you allow it can get the best of you. It can take away so much yet give so much. Love. Patience. Understanding. Peace. The place of peace gained through the suffering can activate an inner call to contribute our best self in the cause of bettering the quality of life of others.

Even as I journey to the elsewhere of my soul I hope to leave behind inspiration and support for others who may traverse this road to find a place of peace and a glimmer of knowledge that there is help and a chance for life.

In this light I make this humble plea and call to my friends, family and supporters to join me to make a difference by donating a gift of your resources to fund ovarian cancer research. Through our collective generosity we can generate awareness and capacity for discovering a curative path for others - a path paved with hope, ease, life giving energy and peace.

Thank you for the blessing of your care, support and friendship. I sign off with prayers for strength, courage to cope, humility, ease, wellness and loving peace.

With my sincere affection and gratitude,
Nargis

About the BC Cancer Foundation & OVCARE

The BC Cancer Foundation is the fundraising partner of the BC Cancer Agency. Gifts made through this page will support the ovarian cancer research program (OVCARE), and their SMART project.

SMART is a pilot program of the OVCARE consortium designed to advance the treatment of patients with less common forms of cancer. The first ever SMART project is focused on mucinous ovarian carcinomas. This study tests the outcomes of a targeted therapy for a specific protein HER2 which is common in this type of ovarian cancer.

More information on this study can be found at http://smartcancerproject.com

100% goes towards ovarian cancer research. Charitable Tax receipts will be sent by email.
