SUPPORTING RESEARCH AND CARE AT BC CANCER
We are here to honor Loo, a woman whose boundless optimism and happiness had a way of brightening every room she entered. Her joy was truly infectious, it had the kind of light that lifted spirits and made everyone feel deeply seen. Loo had a remarkable gift for making people feel important and valued, and to her, there were no such thing as strangers. She treated everyone she met as part of her ohana, extending the warmth of family to anyone in need.
"Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten"
Helping others wasn’t just something Loo did occasionally, it was woven into her soul. When the recent floods struck Hawaii, she didn’t wait for an invitation to help. Instead during her visit, she immediately went out, bought supplies, and brought food directly to those who were struggling. That moment captured her perfectly. She simply saw a need and stepped in with compassion and that signature warm heart. She was always giving, always showing up, and always spreading light.
Throughout her journey with cancer, BC Cancer ensured Loo received the highest level of care possible. Their dedication and compassion gave us the most precious gift. More time. Because of them, we had more moments filled with her laughter, her unwavering support, and the gentle strength she carried so naturally.
We support BC Cancer to honor Loo’s legacy and to ensure other families receive that same exceptional care. Every contribution supports the vital research, treatment, and programs that bring comfort to those facing cancer today. Loo’s spirit lives on in every act of kindness and every spark of joy. Thank you for helping us carry her light, and the spirit of her ohana forward.
