With deep sadness and heartbreak we announce the passing of our cherished and beloved wife, mother, sister and nana June, on 14th August 2023 at the age of 57.

June was predeceased by her parents Ann and Will Tyrrell. June was deeply loved by many and will be missed by her husband Tim, daughters Gemma (Cole), Abigail (Mackenzie) and Danielle (Irving), brother Steve and grandchildren Jhenèa and Roy.

June's passion outside of family was fitness and the outdoors. June loved to run, hike, cycle, kayak, paddleboard, snowshoe, ski and anything else which would get her outside into nature. Anyone who knew June would know that she strived to help others with their goals, whether as a fellow participant encouraging them or as a coach motivating them to achieve what they had set out to achieve. When not outside, June was content to be at home loving and supporting the family.

June was born in Ilford, Essex, England and lived her childhood years in Romford, Essex then in Grays, Essex before moving to Coquitlam in 2009. During her life June had many roles but once her 3 daughters were born she devoted her time to raising the girls, taking a role as a teacher assistant when they started school. June also spent time volunteering at organizations they were involved in. When June moved to Canada she had a number of responsibilities but in 2013, she decided to pursue her true passion and qualified as a fitness coach. She continued to develop by taking further qualifications including rowing, spinning and rowing. June had a number of coaching roles and ended with a role at the City of Coquitlam where she focused on training her clients and taking classes which were always full. Though COVID meant that this stopped, June took it on herself to set up online fitness sessions for her friends and clients which helped them through the lock downs. It was then devastating that as June was starting to get back to in person training that she was diagnosed with Overian cancer in February 2022 and never had an opportunity to hold another class. After that, June's focus was to make the most of the time she had and spending time with her family including the arrival of her 2 grandchildren.

June also loved to travel and Tim and her spent time travelling, firstly with the girls spending vacations in the Canary Islands, Majorca, Florida and Cornwall in England and Vancouver Island, the trip which triggered the move to BC in 2009. Subsequent to this they spent time in New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska, Ireland and a number of locations across Canada, including her favourite Bed & Breakfast in Kelowna, A Touch of English.

June always had a willing smile, words of advice and encouragement, a hug when required and loved nothing better than having family and friends around her.

June truly lived her life to the full and was at peace with this when she passed. She will always be in our hearts and she was beautiful soul.

There will be a private funeral with a celebration of life at a later date in October which will provide June one last opportunity to bring her own unique perspective on life. Details to follow.

In lieu of flowers June requested donations to BC Cancer Foundation.
