Our mission is to radically improve survival of women with low-grade serous ovarian cancer through research and to provide good information to enable and empower them to make informed decisions about their care.
Cure to Ovarian Cancer
We are participating in the Cure Our Ovarian Cancer fundraiser for BC Cancer Foundation.
Ovarian cancer is significantly underfunded and underdiagnosed despite it's high mortality rate.
Our Aunt Enid (our Mother’s sister) passed away of ovarian cancer at the young age of 42. Not only did cancer steal Enid’s bright future, but we lost the chance to know this wonderful woman who would have been an influential and loving figure in our lives.
Not a family gathering goes by where we don’t hear stories of her kindness, generosity and sense of humour and wonder what would be different if she were still here today.
In hope to raise awareness, help advance research and honor her generosity we are hoping to raise $1000 to support BC Cancer's Research.
All money raised will support Canadians, Dr.Mark Carey and Dr. Cheng-Han Lee's, research on low-grade serious ovarian cancer where they are investigating tumour biomarkers for individulized therapuetic susceptibility.
